The Liberty North Varsity Women's Basketball Team traveled to North Kansas City High School on Monday, January 17 and came away with a 50-19 non-conference victory over the Hornets. The win moves the Eagles record to 11-3 overall on the season.
North was led in scoring by Junior's Kennedy Herrig and Ava Levings who both had 16 points. Senior Brynn Hanway and Freshman Alex Couch both added 5 points. Herrig and Levings also led the way rebounding for the Eagles as Herrig grabbed 5 boards, and Levings had 3 boards.
The JV Eagles were also victorious against the Hornets by the score of 35-22. The win pushes the JV record to 8-1 overall on the season.
North was led in scoring by Freshman Kara Durso who had 11 points. Junior Mackenzie Mills added 7 points and Junior Victory Yak had 6 points.
Both teams are back in action on Thursday, January 19 when the Eagles will host Shawnee Mission South High School at 5:30pm and 7pm in the Liberty North Fieldhouse.
