Women's Basketball falls to SM South

The Liberty North Women's Varsity Basketball Team dropped a tough 39-52 non-conference game to the visiting Shawnee Mission South Raiders on Thursday, January 19th.  The loss drops the Eagle's overall record to 11-4 on the season.

North was led on the offensive end of the floor by the trio of Senior Nevaeh Spillman and Juniors Kennedy Herrig and Ava Levings.  Herrig had 11 points while Spillman and Levings each added 10 points.  Junior Gabby Rose led the way rebounding grabbing 4 boards, and Spillman added 3 rebounds.

The JV Eagles were victorious against Shawnee Mission South as they defeated the Raiders 45-13.  With the win the JV record now stands at 9-1 overall on the season.

The duo of Junior Mackenzie Mills and Freshman Kara Durso led the way offensively as they both scored 13 points.  Three other Eagles had six points each.

North will next be in action on Monday, January 23rd when they travel to Blue Springs High School to take on the Wildcats in a conference matchup.  Tip off for the JV game will be 5:30pm with the Varsity following at 7pm.
