Women's Basketball beats St. Joe Central

The Liberty North Women's Basketball Team got back on the winning track on Monday, February 13 with a 47-35 non-conference victory over the visiting St. Joseph Central Indians.  With the win North now stands 15-8 overall on the season.

The Eagles were led offensively by Freshman Alex Couch who had a team high 12 points.  Senior Nevaeh Spillman added 8 points, while Senior Ella Hayes and Junior Ava Levings both had 7 points.  Couch also led the way rebounding grabbing 8 boards.  Junior Laura Babbitt added 5 rebounds and Spillman, Levings and Freshman Millie Perry all grabbed 4 rebounds.

The JV Eagles were also victorious as they claimed a 60-2 victory over the Indians.  With the win the JV Eagles now stand 15-3 overall on the season.

North's JV was led offensively by Junior Victoria Yak who had 17 points and Junior Mackenzie Mills who added 10 points. Freshman Mia Couch and Freshman Kara Durso both added 8 points.  All players that played for the JV Eagles scored during the win.  

The Eagles will next be in action on Thursday, February 16 when they will close out the home portion of their schedule as they will host conference foe Blue Springs.  This will be a Men's and Women's double header header night as the North will be celebrating Courtwarming.  The JV game will tip at 5pm and the Varsity game will follow at 6:30pm.  Both games will be played in the Fieldhouse.
