The Liberty North Women's Basketball Team completed their home portion of their schedule on Thursday, February 16 with a 68-49 conference victory over the visiting Blue Springs Wildcats. With the victory North now stands 16-8 overall on the season, and is 4-3 in conference play.
The Eagles were led offensively by Junior Ava Levings who had a game high 19 points. Freshman Alex Couch dropped in 12 points and Junior Kennedy Herrig had 11 points as North had three girls in double figures. Senior Ella Hayes added 9 points and Senior Nevaeh Spillman had 6 points. Spillman led the way in rebounding grabbing 8 boards. Hayes had 5 rebounds, and Levings and Herrig each had 4 rebounds.
The JV Eagles were also victorious as they claimed a 52-37 victory over the Wildcats. The JV record now stands at 16-3 overall on the season.
Freshman Kara Durso led the way offensively for the Eagles as she had 12 points. Freshman Mia Couch added 10 points, Junior Mackenzie Mills had 9 points and Junior Victoria Yak scored 8 points.
The Eagles will conclude their regular season schedule on Monday, February 20 as they will travel to Blue Springs South for a conference game. Game times will be at 5:30pm for the JV game, and 7pm for the Varsity game.
